Biography

Born in Ingersoll, Walter Ralph Webb of Lots 14 and 15, Concession 5 West Zorra, son of Walter and Charlotte (nee Rouse) Webb, was working in a bank in Woodstock when he enlisted. He served with No. 5 Company of the Canadian Provost Corps in Belgium, France, Italy, Sicily, Germany, Holland and England. He married Alice Wright on January 26, 1946 in Hanwell, Middlesex County, London England and she came to Canada as a war bride. Together they raised a daughter Linda.  Following the war Ralph was a cement contractor in the building industry and he ended up working in Arkansas and then California.  He died of cancer on May 20, 1966, in Red Bluff, California.  Ralph and Alice are both buried in the Blue Mountain Cemetery, located near Blue Mountain, Boone Township, Logan County, Arkansas.
