Biography

George Osborne McKenzie, son of Margaret (nee Campbell) and George McDonald McKenzie of West Zorra Township was an elementary school teacher when he enlisted on June 28, 1917. A Second Leutenant with the Royal Air Force, he was killed in aerial combat near Arras, France, on September 27, 1918, and is commemorated on the Cairn in Memorial Park in Embro.
