Biography

William Crang Thompson was the son of Maggie and Alfred Thompson. He enlisted in London with the 71st Battalion in 1915. This was the battalion raised by Lt. Col. D. M. Sutherland. Later he was in the Royal Canadian Infantry with the 44th Battalion attached to the Royal Flying Corps. He is buried at Montrose (Sleepyhillock) Cemetery in the United Kingdom.
