Biography

Thomas Harvey Pearson of W 1/2 Lot 16 Concession 11, formerly a Captain in the British Army came to Canada in 1830.  In 1834 he married Margaret Allerthorn of St. Catharines.  He was put in charge of mounted Loyalist troop of volunteers in the Niagara area during the 1837 Rebellion.  Rogether they raised eleven children -  Charolette J., Charolette H., Thomas H., Jane A., Harvey, John A., Edmund J., Margaret C., Priscilla S., Edith E., Henry A.
