Biography
Wilfred Joseph Washington (Bill) Hayworth was born in East Nissouri at Lot 11 Con 12 to Rosetta Amelia ‘Etta’ Thornton (1877-1970) and Joseph Hayworth, his mother being raised at Lot 11 Con 12. Following the death of his father he lived in Alberta with his grandparents. The second regimental number indicates that he had served with the 1st Depot Battalion for several months.
