Biography

John Douglas Hogg was a pilot officer with the 432 Leaside Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a member of the Air Ops out of Halifax. John served as a wireless air gunner and was flying over Wilhelmshaven, Germany on October 15, 1944 when he was killed in action. He was only 20 years old. His body is buried in The Sage War Cemetery in Oldengurgland, Germany. His name is on the Cenotaph at the Thamesford Library. John’s next of kin were listed as Addie and Harry Hogg, Thamesford.
